The core Fox restoration team. Captured in the kitchen on a rare occasion when they were not a blur..... Spooky image that came up when editing the pictures for the site. It looks like a lady looking over her shoulder with a shawl on and possibly beckoning you to follow her. Not to self. We must stop reading things into drying plaster.....The worst time for Maurice and Carolyn. The bar wall had collapsed when the artex was removed and it looked like a disaster. The BBC soon had props in position and with a minimum of fuss the wall was made good. The oak was beam treated and supported with a brick corbel. This allowed the plastering to be completed and Maurice's pulse rate to return to normal..The floor uncovered sanded and varnished. The wall primed with grey primer ready for the luxurious coating of GreenThe public bar now an absolute picture and many people's favourite.
